Women and wellness is a topic that is least discussed especially in a country like ours. Contrary to that belief, in this blog, we’re going to be talking about how women can find ways to empower themselves and go against the older notions of society. In the 21st century, however, women are considered equals to men both at home and even at the workplace. This is a progressive step towards moving forward for the betterment of the women in our society.
What Is Wellness?
Wellness can be defined as an optimum level of health and fitness that allows an individual to function actively and fully to ensure that every activity is performed to its full potential. However, wellness can mean different things to different people. Wellness to some can mean getting a job that you like, being in a relationship that you’re happy with or even focusing on yourself and improving on a daily basis. In psychological terms, wellness is the ability to strive through difficult times and find a middle ground to promote sound mental health.
Considering women have always had a lot on their plate from managing a household, taking care of their own professional and personal lives and so much more, this blog discusses how we can find ways to ensure that wellness of our women is not disturbed.

Have A Vision

Everyone has certain things in their mind that they want to do and certain things that make them happy. Think about those things and jot them down. These can be anything of your wish but for it to contribute to your wellness, make sure that it is something that makes you happy in the long term even if it may require a little hard work now.
Set Goals

After you know what you want, set goals. Break your vision down into ways that you can go about getting there. Here comes the idea of setting goals. Make short term goals that help you get there step by step and before you know it, you’ll be halfway through and more satisfied than ever.
Prioritize

Always make time for yourself. Of course, when you’re busy with so many things it might be hard to do that but even spending 5 minutes a day to acknowledge how your day went and reflecting on yourself can take you a long way.
To make this easier you can have a to-do list for the day that you can keep ticking off as you get things done that ultimately improve the quality of your day.
Start Moving

Once you have your goals in mind, start moving towards it. Work till to get it done and even getting some sort of physical activity for a minimum of 10 minutes a day can help. An increase in physical activity can lead to a significant increase in endorphins which naturally makes you happy.
Breathing & Relaxation

Before you start your day it’s good to start by breathing well. Take 5 minutes to just breathe and you’ll see the difference in how it can improve your mood on a daily basis.

In this busy and ever-moving world, take the time out to be kind to yourself and have some self-compassion. Do things that you enjoy and pamper yourself every once in a while because you truly deserve it.
