Congratulations! The very fact that you’re reading this means you’ve taken the first step to living a healthier and fitter lifestyle. Now let’s take a moment to look at the bigger picture- How to stay the path of your fitness journey! The starting point is to set a goal, have a plan and try your best to stick to it. Here is a list to help you set goals, and tips on how to follow them
1. Know your measurements

Even before you can start setting your goals, you need to do the most difficult thing on the planet-Knowing your measurements. We understand how frightening stepping onto those scales and watching the needle creep its way up can be, but until you actually face your fears and do the thing, your fitness journey will be a non-starter. Keep a diary and note your measurements down, Weight, Chest, Waist to start with. While the numbers may be far higher than you expected, take heart in the fact that as you start your journey you will have the satisfaction of watching these numbers drop.
2. Keep a fitness journal.

While you can do this on your phone as well, studies have shown that physically writing stuff down is much more impactful. Start a journal, in which you document every aspect of your fitness process. Your workout and food( calorie count ) should be updated daily, and your weight can be done weekly. Remember that your weight may fluctuate as the weeks progress and you shouldn’t give up because of it. ‘Weight Loss’ is an up and down graph not a linear slide. Once Also keep in mind that as your muscle builds there might be an increase in weight but a decrease in body fat.
3. Set realistic goals
Managing your own expectations is paramount. I know that we all want washboard abs, defined glutes and a perfectly chiseled jawline like Dwayne Johnson, but those take time, dedication and more time! If you work at a job that takes up 8 hours of your day, you sleep for 8 and can only manage a 1 hour workout a day, you need to know that it is going to take much longer to get the body of your dreams than a highly paid actor with a nutritionist, personal trainer and all the time in the world to focus on his fitness goals.
4. Failure is part of the process

Everyone has bad days, like when that double cheeseburger seemed impossible to resist and you ended up finishing three! Relax, it happens, write about it in your food journal, and keep on going. Don’t starve yourself to overcompensate and don’t lose the will to keep on going.
5. The results are worth it.

Keep revisiting your goals, as the weeks progress you need to keep abreast with your plan. Are workouts getting too easy? Up the intensity. Is your goal weight in sight? Lower it. It’s important to keep your goals dynamic and you need to keep adapting to new ones. Because once your goals start plateauing so will your journey.
And there you have it, the basic tips to start and stick to your plan! We hope that these tips can help you on your way to becoming your best self, and can motivate you to live a healthier lifestyle.
