What are you working out for? There’s got to be a purpose to everything we do or we wouldn’t be doing those things right? This blog is going to talk about fitness goals and why we need them.
When it comes to fitness goals it’s like shoe sizes, it varies from person to person. A teenager wouldn’t be having the same goals as a middle aged man and so on and so forth.
However, it’s necessary for everyone to have a goal because that is what enables them to keep going.
HOW TO SET YOUR FITNESS GOAL?
Here are some tips to help you set your fitness goals:
No.1 – Be Specific
- Know exactly what you want to achieve before you start. Have a vision in mind and start working towards it.
- When you have a goal in mind it motivates you to push yourself every day until you reach that goal.
No.2 – Make Sure It’s Measurable
- Give yourself small targets over time intervals like weekly targets or monthly targets. This gives you direction.
- Once you have a direction and you know where to go the process becomes more streamlined and all that’s left is to put in the work.
No.3 – Make Sure It’s Achievable
- Don’t set yourself up to fail by giving yourself targets that are unrealistic and impossible to achieve.
- When you give yourself a target it’s okay if it’s a little far fetched or not too easy because that’s what makes it fun. Remember that nothing worth having comes easily.
No.4 – Record Your Progress
- Always make it a habit to record your progress from the start. This gives you self awareness and helps you realize how much progress you have made and how far you’ve come in your fitness journey.
- It’s important to remember and remind yourself where you started from every once in a while.
No.5 – Give Yourself A Deadline
- A goal without a deadline is just a dream. So, give yourself a time limit for your fitness goals.
- This gives you the drive and pushes you to put in the work that’s needed to achieve them.
These tips can be followed by all people regardless of your age groups. At the end of the day, fitness is meant to make you feel better physically, mentally, emotionally and psychologically. So, if your fitness goals are also pointing in the same direction you’re on the right track.
